Jazeybelle (aka Allie McBeal) was rescued from St. Louis County Animal Control. She was found wondering on the street looking for a place to call home.

I just wanted to give you a follow-up. After picking Allie McBeal up on February 14 and bringing
her into our home she has ruled the roost.
I know that she was called Allie McBeal because she was so thin but that name didn’t stick. My
daughter wanted to call her Belle but my son-in-law was calling her Jazey so we combined
them for Jazeybelle. (Although my husband seems to also call her his little girl and little bit, she
seems to respond to them all.) (By the way, she’s not thin anymore. She makes sure we know
when the bowl is empty.)
She responded very well to my kids cocker spaniel, letting him know that she was now the
boss. And even though they’ve moved into their own home, she lets him know she’ll be the
boss there as well. She loves to ride in my husbands truck with him to visit them and sleeps
close to him every night (even though she has her own bed beside ours). She was supposed
to be my dog but somehow claimed my husband to be hers and that’s okay.
My in-laws love her too. My father-in-law always claims he’s just going to take her home with
them. (If any small dogs are need of adoption in the future I’m sure they’d be very interested.
They’ve always had lots of big dogs in their home but as they get older so do the dogs and as
they pass on my father-in-law keeps thinking he’d like to have another one, but a small “lap
dog” as he says.) We’re getting ready to take her for her first big girl haircut.
Thanks for making it happen.
