Hope Rescue's "Canine Buddy" Page
|
We have a new program called "Canine Buddy" (Canine Big Sister / Big Brother)". Many people for one reason
or another cannot adopt a pet... but still want to help out in socializing with our many homeless pets. So we
invite them to become a Canine Buddy, where they can come and take one of our pets out for a few hours,
overnight or even for the weekend.
So this page is dedicated to those individuals... Thank you so very much for taking the time out of your busy
schedules to spend time with one of our homeless pets.
If you would be interested in becoming a Canine Buddy.. Click Here to Apply

Hey there Kim & Jackie!
Well, today I did my first big sister deed and picked up Captain around noonish. Lets just say this.. when we put
him in the car, he sat in the front seat like the perfect little passenger. Oh the way home.. he slept sprawled out
in the back with his head hanging off the seat.
Captain and Sammy are like two peas in a pod! Peanut N and jelly! Salt N Pepper! Brothas from anotha
motha! Whatever floats your boat ;)
We would love to adopt him so badly but we're not sure how my mother's asthma will react. She's had
problems with short-haired dogs that shed in the past, but we'll have to see. We'll most likely pick him up again
this week for another play date!
Sammy is just pooped! He never gets this much exercise with Charlie.. mainly 'cause Charlie doesn't like to
play with him, LOL. Sammy's a big ol horse who likes to trample him.
Anyway, Captain had a great day! As did Sammy and myself. He is a really great dog. The girls at La Best
didn't seem to know all too much about him, but I can tell you that he gets along great with other dogs. Not only
was he around Sammy and Charlie, but the neighbors on our left side and behind us had their dogs out and
they all just ran the fence together.
I've attached some photos of today for you!

Kim & Jackie,
Last night was a blast for the puppers! I'm not quite sure why they call it a sleepover when the
participants refuse to sleep, though :)
We pulled out the bed from our couch for them to nap on -- mostly they just got it muddy, lol. I've
attached some photos for you that we took.
Sincerely, Sleepy Sammy and his barely conscious chaperon
5/21/2007 Jerry's & his Big Sister's Day Out
Jerry was a pleasure! He is going to make some family very happy! He was so good...... I
am not sure what all is going on this weekend but if we do stay home, I will come out and take
one of the other dogs home for a day or two. Totally wish I could take them all! Please let me
know if some lucky person or family does adopt Jerry. It would be nice to hear. Thanks again.
I only took some pictures with my phone. Next time I come and get a visitor, I will take the
camera out for pictures! He really was a very good boy! Give him kisses from me!

Hey!
I just wanted to let you guys know that Rascal had a great time today! He and Sam hit it off
right away. Rascal would play for a little bit and then go straight to one of the rawhide bones
outside. He LOVED them things! We had him for about three or so hours outside wearing
him out. On the way home we stopped by Hardees and got him some fries ;-) LOL
I attached some of the photos from today and the link to a video I took. They weren't real
crazy when I shot it, but I wanted to get something for ya'll! Maybe a video of the way he gets
along with another dog will help him to get adopted... he's such a sweetheart.
