Clayton, along with his sister Cleo was rescued from an
animal control in Mt. Vernon IL. They both were diagnosed
with Parvo but responded very well to treatment. After
receiving a clean bill of health Clayton was able to go to his
"Forever Home" who was already anxiously waiting for him.

Hi Kim and Jackie,
Just wanted to let you know all is well. We have renamed Clayton. I hope that's OK? all of
our other pets have T names and since Clayton was a puppy we thought it wouldn't be
confusing for him.
Took him to the vet today so Dr. Schuessler could meet him. He also wasn't sure what
other breed besides Sheltie, maybe Akita, Chow, ? He checked out well and has even
learned to "sit" on command.
We've started going outside on a lead to" potty" and he's doing extremely well.
I'll write more soon have to take Tucker out .
Have a great day and thank you so much.

HI!!!!!
So sorry it's taken so long to send a message about Tucker. We absolutely are in "love" with our
baby. Well, not much of a baby anymore!!!! The first month was tough getting up during the night.
We decided not to use paper, and just go straight to going out very frequently so he would learn as
quickly as possible to go "potty". He is also crate trained. Tucker is only in the crate at night and
when were gone. He's very comfortable in there. I purchased the second largest crate Petsmart
had but I do believe we're going to need the largest. His legs are getting longer and longer every
day. Tucker weighs just over 15 lbs. He's now fully house trained. When he needs to go out he
heads to the garage door and lets out a bark. Of course there are times he fools us and just
wants to go out and play. Tucker is very active, still wants to bite and chew on us but we have
been working very hard on the " no bite" command and he is getting better.
I've think we've accumulated about 50 toys for him ( at last count) yes indeed he is a spoiled child.
We love doing it though. He's terrific at playing fetch. Loves hugs and kisses and everyone who
walks through the front door. He's had all necessary shots up to this point including the new one
for gingivitis. We go next week for more vaccinations and then he's scheduled to be neutered on
March 22.
Below are a couple of current photos and a couple from when we first brought him home. I'm
hoping to get some full shots of him so you can see how big he's getting.
He is a lovey dovey and we couldn't be happier.
Thank you so much for letting us adopt him. Be assured he's well loved and taken care of. The
cats still aren't too crazy about having a big brother but there starting to warm up to him.
Take care,
Suzy
