Desi, aka Suzi, was rescued from Animal Control on what would have
been her last day of life.  She has such a wonderful personality and will
simpy roll over at the hint of a belly rub.  Now she has a "Forever Home"
and a fantastic family to love.  She is a lucky little girl.

Kim and Jackie,
Just a little note and a couple of pictures.  We changed Desi's name to Suzi.  She is a
wonderful little addition to our family.  Chad has taught her to sit, we are working on
manners and she's doing great at potty-training.  Suzi loves all of us and we love her, too.
She's a kind, loving dog!!  We are thankful for her and for you guys.  If it weren't for the
hard, determined work that you do - we wouldn't have her!!  Thanks for everything!
All of our love,
Chad, Jenni, Ty, Averi & Suzi

Hello ladies!  Suzi's vet appt. was wonderful!  She's 22.5 lbs and doc says she'll be 45-50 lbs.  His guess
is that she's 4 months and def. a lab/terrier mix.  The nurses absolutely loved her.  She was a little onry
when she saw another dog there - but we are working on that.  Suzi is the best!  She's such a lover.  I find
myself not wanting to leave home on the weekends without her because I don't want her to have to be
crated up while we are gone.  So....  that means, she's already spoiled!  We take her everywhere when we
can!  She's been to all the baseball games that my son has had this past week - she even rode 40 minutes
to one on Saturday!  I remember about the car and not letting her stay in it.  We left to go shopping
yesterday about 30 minutes away and then out to eat.  So she had to stay home and trust me, I rushed
through my steak just so she didn't have to be crated longer than 5 hours....  ha ha!!  We went home and
then left again, but took her with us.  We are working on car manners as well - she stays in her place and
we've got a blanket and toys for her in the car, too.....   There isn't any dog parks here in Taylorville, but I'll
check in Springfield.  We've taken her to our park here in town and she loves it!  She really likes going to
Dairy Queen for a treat when we are done at the park.....  She's signed up for Obedience class that starts
on June 12th.  It's a lady here in town that uses positiv re-inforcement to train them and us.  So we are
excited about that....
She's just such a good dog.
Again, thanks so much!!!

Hello Jackie and Kim!  Suzi is doing wonderful!  She weighs 27 lbs, 10 oz.  She had
another shot on June 11th.  Everyone at our vet just loves her.  She's very playful and
loving!  We started Obedience school last Tuesday.  Suzi loves to bark at other dogs, but
we think she had fun?!  Here's 2 pics.  One is Suzi lounging on the couch (Chad said when
we first got her that she would have to stay off the furniture, but you see how long that
lasted) and the second one is Ty holding her this morning.  We all just absolutely love her.
She still loves those belly rubs!  Thanks for all that you guys do every day.  We are so
thankful!
