Tootsi (Leia) is doing really good. She plays with my yellow lab very well,
although Cassey didn't like it when Tootsi bit her tail . Can't blame her
there!
We are so happy to have Tootsi in our home and she has helped us deal w/ the
loss of our Gonzo. The house doesn't feel so empty. She receives a lot of
love and attention. We take walks every night and is good with the leash. My
son just loves her so much. He wants to be a Veterinarian.
I have taken several pics of Tootsi and will get them to you hopefully by next
week. We check your website daily. The 2 ylw labs are so adorable. It's a
good thing I'm not there to see them. I'm a sucker for dogs. The one lab w/
more yellow coloring is a twin to my lab.
Thanks again and please stay in touch with us!!!

Tootsi now weighs 11.5 lbs. is playful as ever. It is so funny because my
lab, Cassey and her play with this one puppy teething bone with half in
Tootsi's mouth and the other in Cassey's mouth.
They pull at each other back and forth. If one just sits there w/ it, then
they paw at each other.
By the way, we ck your website daily and I have several friends ck'ing it
also.
Thanks,
Lori
Hi Jackie & Kim-
I wanted to let you know that Tootsi (Leia) is getting big and doing so good. She wants
to sleep in her pet porter at night and not in our bed. Tootsi is quite spoiled and a
sweetheart. We are getting Toosi spayed this Friday, Oct. 27th. I keep wanting to
back out, but then I want it done and over with. I will let you know how she did. I took
the day off and we will pick her up after 4pm that night. I told my family that we need to
drive down to be at your 1 yr anniversary w/ Hope Rescues. Hope to see ya there!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Wanted to update you on Cinnamon...she had a great night. She woke up wimpering
about 5:45. I put Cinnamon's pet porter in front of Tootsi's face to face to ease the
transition. They were in our room. Cinnamon didn't want to sleep in bed though. Give her
time. When we left your house, we stopped at McD's drive thru. Cinnamon slept the
whole way in her bed. I think we got home at 10:30. The highway was sure busy.
Tootsi and Cassey love her. They played for an hr or so. Cinnamon crawls on Cassey
and really acts like it is her Mother.
We are going potty and poop outside, no mess yet...We had all 3 outside 1/2 hr and they
ran around the back yard and Tootsi was a wild girl, you would think she drank a Mountain
Dew!
Cinney is napping right now, she's pooped out. She really scarfs the food down!
Thanks again for everything and Cinnamon will be with us today at my parents. I can't
leave her by herself this soon.
The Campbell's

Leia -aka Tootsi Roll - adopted 8/11/2006 She
was rescued from a high kill shelter 7/11/2006
along with her mom and 10 other litter mates.
When rescued, she only weighed 4 1/2 pounds
where the rest of the litter mates weighed in at no
less than 9 pounds with the exception of Chewy
who was 3 pounds. She was taken immediately
to our vet hospital where she and Chewy spent a
few days due to extreme dehydration and anemia.

Hi Kim, Jackie, and Kendra!
I hope all is well and everyone had a good X-mas and a Happy New Year...Cinnamon has
kept us real busy and Tootsi enjoys being the instigator(sp). They loved opening their
X-mas treats. Cinnamon stands almost as tall as Tootsi, about 1 inch way from it. But her
body is not as long as Tootsi, yet anyway. I need to get a bunch of pics sent to ya's. I am
on vacation this week.
By the way, was there a December newsletter? If so, I didn't receive the email. I just
figured w/ the holidays, it was so busy...
How is Buster Brown doing?
It's too bad that people react like what you stated on your home page note. I just finished
reading it.
Such excitement at your house for New Year's Day...puppies and more puppies!!
Oh, I forgot to mention about Cinnamon's ears...the flappy part of her ears were swelling in
places on both sides. It was hematomas from (we and the vet think) Tootsi playing a bit
rough w/ her ears. The hematomas start due ear infections, ear mites, or scratching of the
ear. We always keep a close watch on the two, but her ears must be x-tra sensitive. We
had them drained twice, which Cinney didn't like very well, that needle hurts on the ear!! It
could take 2 wks to a month for the bloody fluid to be re-absorbed to her. The ears are
looking much better. About 85 percent improvement from 4 weeks ago. So...we kept
them separated from playing, one in crate, other out playing for about 2 wks. IT WAS
ROUGH! Cassey is more gentle, so she took over. She's the queen bee of the house.
