Lill DeVille was a member of the "Rugrat" litter.  She, along with
her 6 other littermates were raised by a good Samaritan who
found their pregnant mommy as a stray and took care of her
while she had puppies.

We just adore Lil (who we' have decided to call Penny).  She has a big brother (see pic)
who is very timid and crawled back into his shell when his brother Wrinkles passed away
last fall.  But thanks to Penny he's coming out of his shell and is socializing more a bit with
everyone.  He adores playing with her(mostly when they are alone in the yard) and is
already showing signs of protectiveness towards her.  Penny loves playing in the back
yard where she stalks birds (she reminds us of a lioness on the big hunt) and runs after
fireflies.  Last night she discovered the baby rabbit that lives in our back yard. She hasn't
figured out what it is yet, and runs away when it starts hoping.  Not to be left in the dark,
her determination to approach it is a comical little show.  Our youngest granddaughter just
loves playing with Penny (see pic) and has taken on the "little mother" attitude with her.
We've even butted heads on how to correct her when her behavior is "not acceptable".  As
you know 5 year olds already know all the answers and proudly set you straight - ha ha.
Especially since she has a new puppy at home that is a few weeks older than Penny and
is full blood Golden Retriever.

Penny is doing great, she went camping with us this past week and did wonderfully.
Her first time on a leash and first time on a chain and she passed with flying colors.
My niece brought her Great Dane camping, what a hoot those two were playing
around the yard.  By the end of the week she had him eating out of her paws.
