Lilo was one of eight puppies born on 1/1/2207 in our
home.  Their mommy, Abby had been rescued 2 days
prior from an Animal Control where she was on her last
day.  That day we rescued 9 lives, not just one.
Kim and Jackie,
Here are pictures of Ms. Lilo's allergic reaction.  I also attached one from just a few days earlier so you can see
the difference.  Poor little girl!!!!!!  She looks so pathetic!!!
BTW - Her weight today at the vet was 13lbs. 2oz.!!!!!!!!!!

Jackie and Kim,
We are so sorry to hear about Peter Pan - we will keep him in our prayers.

Lilo is doing really well - except for the separation anxiety - but we are working on trying to fix that.  She doesn't
do anything destructive she just drools (A LOT) and licks her paws - we are keeping an eye on her and she is
not losing any hair nor does she have any sores on her paws.

I have contacted the vet several times over this and we are going to try a medicated shampoo (in case her skin
is irritated for some reason - which I don't think is the problem but she does scratch in general more than I think
she should so I figure it can't hurt to try it out), we are also going to video tape her to see just how long and
exactly what she is doing and then we can try Benadryl to see if that helps her relax
while we are gone.  As a last resort the vet says we can take her to a behaviorist to see what else can/should
be done.  I'm sure she will adjust before it comes to that though - she is so happy, energetic, good natured and
all around perfect outside of that.  Her potty training is going very well also.

Anyway - we will keep you posted on her separation anxiety progress and
we will keep Peter Pan in our thoughts and prayers.  Poor little guy!

BTW - Here are some pictures of Lilo since we brought her home - I hope they come through.

Kim and Jackie,

Hello. I hope you had a very nice Easter.

It has been awhile since I gave you an update on Lilo so here goes:

She had her latest vet visit last Thursday. We gave her Benadryl before her appointment and presto she did
NOT have an allergic reaction this time to the DHPP shot. She gets her last DHPP puppy shot on May 4th then
she gets her Rabies shot on May11th and then we will be taking her out of town with us for a long weekend trip.
Let's hope she doesn't get car sick. Krista does though so it won't be any big deal if she does...they both have
allergies that we have to watch carefully so it wouldn't surprise me if they both end up puking all over my lovely,
as Jackie would put it - "Soccer Mom" van. Anyway, she weighed in at a whopping 20lbs. 2oz. - CAN YOU
BELIEVE IT?!?!?!?! She has lost all of her very front puppy teeth and her big girl teeth are pushing up now. She
loves to play fetch with me with her tennis ball - she brings it back to me about 99% of the time. She won't play
fetch with Randy though - she only wants him to wrestle with her or to hold her like a baby on his belly while he
rubs her belly!!! They are BOTH really pathetic when they do that!!! Anyway, the vet says she is doing great
health wise and temperament wise - she is the best dog!!!!

Speaking of temperament - Have I got a story for you...She is doing really well on her potty training so we were
planning on leaving her out of her kennel today when we came to work. Well, last night she messed
up BIG time - We were all getting ready for bed and Lilo wanted Randy to pay attention to her so she kept
bugging him and ended up hollering at her to "Calm down and go lay down in her bed!" So while Randy went to
potty one last time before bed so did Lilo...she POOPED right on his ON THE COUCH!!!!!!! Yes I said ON the
couch!!!! Of course when Randy came out of the bathroom he smelled and tracked it down. By this time I was
already in bed and all I (and probably half our neighborhood) heard him say was, "You have got to be kidding
me, LILOOOOOOO!" I went running into the living room to see what was going on and there her poop sat, 3
big pieces sitting in line on his side of the couch. I just about bit my lip off to keep from laughing. Unfortunately, I
had to clean it up so he could take Lilo outside to "Have a talk with her." There he was standing outside in the
rain for 5 minutes getting soaked and reading her the riot act while she ran around the yard, happy as a lark to
be playing in the rain and not inside in her bed sleeping. Sometimes (and only occasionally) I feel sorry for
Randy living in a house with 3 females and no other males - he really doesn't stand a chance - even Lilo
has figured out that with all his yelling he is still just a big pushover. So anyway, she is still confined to her
kennel while we are at work - I guess we will see if she can get paroled next week.

Sorry this is turning into a very long email - guess I will end it here then. I'll send you some pictures real soon.
Take care, Tracey

Jackie and Kim,
Hello there!  It's been awhile since I wrote so I thought I would update you
on Ms. Lilo.

Yesterday she was spayed and micro chipped at the Missouri Humane
Society - Maryland Heights facility.  She did great!  She was already
wagging her tail and wanting to jump up this morning.  Randy is home
with her all day today and tomorrow to keep an eye on her.  I had the
Humane Society use the microchip that you gave me.
P.S.  I'm attaching our family photo.  We just had professional ones
done....Lilo was better at sitting still for the photos than Krista was....with
you knowing Krista you probably guessed as much though, huh?! LOL!!!
Take care,
Tracey
