Lucy Lu's Page
hi! i just wanted to update you on Lucy! she's doing great. she and Damien are getting
along wonderfully! we couldn't have picked a better dog. she's very smart and funny to
watch. she's also become a LOT more playful in the last couple months! she's getting big
fast and she's going to get fixed in the beginning of September. she's figuring out a lot of
things that Damien has never thought to do (and he's VERY intelligent)...i hide the toys so
that they only get one at a time (this eases the mess i have to clean up). the toys are in a
basket under an end table. Lucy has figured out how to pull out the basket and then she
and Damien take every toy out and spread them all over the house! she's also learning a
bunch of new tricks due to Damien. she learned to sit and speak and shake hands all by
watching him do his tricks! anyway, i just wanted to let you know how she's doing and if
you ever want to come out to check on her, feel free. you can either email me with a date
and time or call me and we'll set something up! thanks again for the match of a lifetime.
we couldn't be happier, and Damien thanks you too! he's so much happier now that he
has a playmate! i've included a picture of the two of them together! hope you enjoy!

Lucy meets Rose
Lucy Lu - adopted 6/30/2006 - This pretty little girl
was rescued from a high kill shelter that uses the
gas chamber. But because the shelter thought she
was part Pitt But..  They were going to euthanize her
immediately.  We begged for this puppy to leave
with us.. And how happy we were when they finally
agreed. Every pet deserves a second chance.

Kim and Jackie,
Hello! Things are going great around here! Lucy Lu is sure figuring out what life around
here is like. We had a spell awhile back with Lucy getting sick, but we figured out the
problem and she's all better. We just know better than to feed her bits of human food
anymore. They don't get much (maybe a bite or two once a week) but it was making her
sicker than a...well...a dog! LOL! Lucy and Damien had presents waiting for them on
Christmas Eve. I got them both a Candy Cane Rawhide, a Mammoth Bone Knuckle, and a
pack of Cinnamon Doggie Cookies. They wouldn't open their gifts (I think because we've
trained them not to touch anything that they know isn't theirs) but once they were opened,
both of them went to town! Both Candy Cane Rawhides are now gone, and the Knuckles
are almost completely gone. Lucy has become very dominant over Damien and will watch
him chew his bones and when he looks away, she sneaks in and takes it! Needless to
say, she's grown quite used to us and our home. When we first got her, she was jumping
the fence, but she's over that now as well. She whines when Damien is missing (bye-bye
with Daddy or locked himself in another room) and he whines when she is (bye-bye with
mommy). They love each other, and I couldn't ask for a better pair.
Sorry for the long reply, but a lot has been going on since i last emailed. Christmas sorta
took it out of me for awhile. Talk to you soon!
