Jackie & Kim,
Thanks You SOOOO Much! She is the best and is doing great already! She has had a long night already, the
girls cant sleep, but rose is sleeping on Daddy's lap watching the game! (I'm not sure who's dog this is going to
be LOL) All the neighbors have been over already and so excited about the baby! "Oh shes so cute, how sweet,
what a cutie!" Anyway she's doing great! And Mika has not thrown a fit matter a fact rose went under the table
(mikas spot) and plopped down almost on top of her and she did not say a thing! Now she didn't really look at her
but!!! That's good for her! She dose not know what toy to play with and pottying outside great! She likes her new
bed! And I think she has a thing for under the desk, I didn't know your feet did not belong under there & it was for
"dogs"! She seams to be happy and so are we! I am sorry for you all because I know she has your heart! And I
know you have to miss her already! We will make play dates if ya like? Anyway thank you and good night I have a
few days of "home work" to try and catch up on with all that has been going on! Ill let you know what I hear w/ terry!

The "4" (myself, the 2 girls and Rose) of us girls went to the pet store tonight when I got home w/ Haley from Pre
K, Now when I tell you we were in there for about 2 hours doing I don't know what other than playing with anything
& everything that any of the 3 of them could get there hands on! We definitely had a great time and just when you
think you have one of every toy & treat, well we must not have because we all walked out of their with our hands
full of bags and Rose even had a rope in her teeth all the way to the car. I wanted to take a pic at least w/ my
phone but you just as soon as you get out of the way of the world and set your stuff down they stop doing what
ever it is you just loved and ALL kids do! I think Rose will look forward to having a few hrs to herself to sleep cuz
we all are just having too much fun! (Did you know they make balls that are smaller than a soccer ball, kinda
clear w/ tint that is all over like crazy, but kinda hard rubber, that glow in the dark! Now that one is a hit with
everyone!) All the kids are a sleep now so its time for mom to go to bed too, I'm going to scoop up my "cuddle
bunnie" and go watch some TV! My me time now has someone else in it,she just makes funny sounds when she
is sleeping (sometimes she wakes herself and gets up looks around gives me kisses and then goes back to
sleep, as if... what was that? where am I? Oh there you are! Good Night!) I don't know maybe its just me but I

This is Rose's Brother Cosmo she will meat him on sun at brunch! we are trying to have a quiet night, the only
one asleep is dad right now... so, I cant chat to night but all is well, Oh ya but she has found a liking to Haley's
underpants (clean) but she runs off with them! what ever! I tell them maybe you will put you stuff away now?! Ya

News Break !!!!!
The ear has fallen... repeat ... Rose's ear has fallen..... The left ear is now once again
floppy like the right .....

well, we like that it has fallen, it makes her look more like a baby and we missed that
time with her... But I really think that she has forgotten the hole ear thing. All she does is
play 90 to 0, sleep, potty & EAT! Her food, Mika's food, Her Chews (will hop from one to
another) Mika's Poo, Beauty's poo, Dryer sheets, & Haley's underpants. Not much time
in thinking about the ear! I tell everyone we can't over feed her but everyone swears shes
starving! And I know they all feed her when I'm not looking! She likes Steak too! I was
told that we were having steak, so she needed one to! It was cooked all the way w/o
spices but she go her own steak..... You have to pick your battles... We went to soccer
today and that was well a trip we did not win our first game and I think cuz all the kids
were all about Rose and not the game. I think it might have been a little much by the half
cuz she was acting up so I just moved us away from the kids... And we were all better,
but we still did not win. We like the hammock and love the trampoline, so long its not too
bouncy! well we are putting pumpkins out and I'm "missing the fun!"

Well I was in the mid of a letter to you the other day and kicked the comp. cord and
unplugged it! I was so mad I was almost done and it was not short any how.... things are
great! No poo poos in the house and the every now & then pee pee when she is playing
(not when shes home by her self!) I have been over ruled and Rose has changed to
Lucy! Its cute but I still call her rose so that will take some getting use to. I hope you all
are not upset but like I said I didn't win that one. Well we are getting HUGE! We can
climb the baby gate now so I got a 2nd one and are stacking them! I have to get a scale
to see how big we are now and I promise to send pic soon, we are just having camera

the bright idea to call the location according to the web site and good thing I did cuz you
were not there! I didn't put two & two together that you were all prob at this competition

They are both up today! "What BIG ears you have little Lucy".... "they are NOT to here you
better mommy" And my dear how big of paws you are getting! Jackie, Kim how do you
know she is a "dog" she is growing like a wolf! Its tooooo funny each morn we get up she
has gotten bigger. As ALL kids do. We are carving pumpkins and Lucy has taken each
peace that has been cut out to a dif spot of the house... we are going to be finding
pumpkin for weeks... SE

going to the back door and scratching on it when she wants out! Yay! And she has fig out

having a new baby now and everyone is so happy for us. Steve & I went to the Dr tues and
we saw the heart beating! That was so great. Miss Big Butt still can't get on much other
than Haley's Bed & the couch so long she didn’t just gorge herself! But she might be a little
rotten too! She is doing great! And still seams miss sized, one day her head is big then its
her ears (ok every other day it’s the ears) then her body now her legs look short and a long
body! And the newest “trick” is she brings you her bowl when she wants/needs something!

Look Mom what is this? Its more fun than the leaves!!!! I Love it!! ITS SNOW!!!! (and yes I let the "dog"
play in the snow first before I let the kids out in the yard... I had to see what she would do all by her self.

Lucy "aka Rose" - Adopted 10/17/2006 - We fell in love with Rose and
miss her deeply so I could not wait to start her "Happy Homes" page so
everyone could see first hand just how wonderful her new family is. For
all who fell in love with her just as we did. Check back to this page often,
Rose's story is just beginning !
Rose and her mom Roxie were found by Animal Control in Mt. Vernon IL,
under an abandoned home. Rose's other litter mates had already
passed when they were found. When we found Rose at the shelter she
had a severe infection in her tail and back foot, where the foot and tail
were 3x their normal size. We immediatly rescued her and took her for
medical treatment. Because of the infection, over 1/2 of her tail had to
be amputated. After ten weeks of treatment and many thanks to the
wonderful doctors, Dr. Simms and Dr. Diaz at Hawthrone Animal
Hospital we were able to save Rose's foot and she was given a clean bill
of health.

oh my gosh they had so much fun!!!! I think cosmo cryed last night when we left! those two were nuts
had a ball I think cosmo lost a few yrs and lucy was put in her place a few times! an 80#+ dog after
being bit (playing) one to many times after asking to stop can def tell her to stop! one paw across the
head pinned to the floor was the "time out" that none of us could given her! but on the other hand
those two pulled each other with a big stick between them all over the play yard (it was mostly ice so it
was a great show) and just ran them selfs to the point of they just would drop and pass out! we said
we were going to have them over more often & I think "grandma" fell in love with lucy this LONG
weekend!!!! but we got home last night trashed all the food and no pipes broke so that was good!

I snuck home for a min. to just get away and I think about you all so much and every time I say I need
to talk to them I don't have the hours to do so! Lucy is just well everything, little mom, a butt head,
trouble, an Angel, too funny for words, you name it she's just like the weather if ya don't like it stick
around a min it will change!!!! and yes it is crazzy here! Haley started a new school last week the
holidays were just as insane as you would think they are with one side being baptist and the other
Jewish! that is always fun with our parents!!!! And Lucy LOVED opening all the gifts with paper in
them... Haley did not much like it but everyone else just died! You are probably wandering if she is
getting big and yes she's not little rose but she's not as big as we were thinking that she would get,
which is fine. But she has a bark that is 5x her size! And you know i love that her tail is gone because
I can tell that if it were there it would kill anything it would get close to! You don't really here her bark to
much just when someone walks up the way to the door you don't have to knock or ring the bell and
she knows who's coming, she won't bark at me or Steve or the kids thats the funny part, and if one of
us are late she stands at the door when she hears us coming and tips her head as puppys do with
