Vegas is a Small Beagle about 1.5
years old. He is friendly like most
Beagles, and loves to play.
Vegas was rescued on what was his
last day of life from Animal Control.
Look at that adorabel Beagle face!
We figure since no one bothered to
neuter the poor boy he was a
wanderer.
Well, his wondering days are over
now!

Leroy came to us because the family realized
that the dog they bought was NOT a
chihuahua. Still makes me laugh to this day
how anyone could think this was a Chihuahua..
He appears to be a Bulldog, Basset mix.
He is completely house trained and will
always do his business outdoors.
He is afraid of strangers, but warms up very
quickly.
Leroy weighs all of 18 lbs, and is very playful.
He is a good boy, but he is not a Chihuahua.
Okay so we cleared that up right?

can be.
Jewel has a little mole on the tip of her nose and
some of our volunteers call her witchy poo..
She doesn't seem to mind, most likely because
she just enjoys the fact that someone is calling
her.
Jewel would make any family a great little friend.

Rango is a 4 year old Chihuahua/Jack Russell
mix. He was rescued on what was to be his last
day of life at Jefferson County Missouri Animal
Control. They had him listed as people
aggressive, but upon our observations we found
that he is a typical Chihuahua type dog, and you
have to bring more than just you to win him over,
he prefers Beggin' strip bribes. Once you make
friends he is a bundle of playful, adorable little
buddy personality. He is a nice dog who was
nearly passed over by everyone because no one
tried to figure out what breed he was and if his
behavior was typical of that breed.
Rango weighs just under 11 lbs.

Gulliver is a white male Chihuahua about 3 years old. He is friendly,loves to
sniff in the yard, appears to be house trained, and gets along well with other
dogs.
He traveled from Chicago animal control to Hope Rescues on 4-26-2011.
On Gulliver's next travel we would like to see him go from Here to a forever
home!

Blazer is a 6 year old male Jack Russell mix. He had a family, but then
they had kids, and he was not properly socialized around children before
the family decided to have them so he did not do well.
He is afraid here, but sweet after a treat or two. He is house trained, and
would do best in a home with adults only.
It is not his fault that he wound up homeless, and we are sure that he will
be the perfect pet for the right family.

| Zuccotti |
Zuccotti is a Tibetan Terrier mix male about 2
years old. He was rescued from Animal Control in
Chicago.
He does not do well with kids at all, and prefers to
be with older softer adults.
He is house trained, about 13 lbs. and appears not
to shed.

Bobbi is a 2.5 year old Basset Beagle Mix or Bagle if you prefer. She was
given up to be destroyed by her owners because she would not stay in her
unfenced yard. Yep that is right someone actually thought a dog with Beagle
and Basset would stay in the yard without a fence. Anyone who knows anything
about either breed knows that they follow their nose and sometimes they are in
another state before they look up.
She is VERY sweet and Friendly, she is also very good with children and other
pets.
We think she is house trained, but want to say that she has had two accidents
over night in her foster so maybe not all the way.
Bobbi is also heart worm positive but she has her treatment to go home paid for
by the rescue.
She really deserves a home (yes, with a fenced yard).

Wicket was rescued from animal control. He is between 4 to 5 years
old and a mix of maybe ShiTzu something.
We named him Wicket because he reminds us of the Ewoks on Star
Wars.
He is house trained, quiet, really easy around the house because he
just wants to hang out.

Wolfie is a male Chihuahua mix about 2 years old. He is house trained,
likes other dogs. He is a bit shy at first but if you have a treat you can win
him over in 2 seconds flat!

Meet Lilly and Oliver, 2 year old Beagles, very friendly, and house
trained.
When we first rescued these dogs we were told they were dumped for
killing the ducks and chickens on the farm. But later, when speaking to
someone who is related to the old owner we were told the owner just
wanted to get rid of them so she could get some other breed of dog. So
we are not sure what they did wrong, or if they did anything wrong at all.
But we do want people to be aware of what we were told especially if you
have ducks.
What we know about them now is that they are very bonded and we
would like to see them get adopted together. They play well in doggie
daycare with other dogs, they love kids, and adults.
Oliver is a little food aggressive with others including his sister, but he
never lets it go too far with it before giving in but he should be watched
with food and other dogs because he is rude.
Both weigh between 16 and 20 lbs each, they are very pretty Beagles.
Someone out there must be thinking about getting two dogs, and since
these two already know each other it will be very easy to introduce them
both to one home.
