Summer was rescued from a kill facility on what would have
been her last day of life.  Just looking into her eyes we could tell
that she had a lot of love to share and desperately wanted a
family to call her own.  Now she is has a loving home and family
and her journey has just begun.

Summer came to live with us on Friday, May 18th.  My son, Ethan, and I went to
LaBest to pick her up.  Once I saw her I knew that there was no other dog for us.
Ethan found his buddy.  My other two children were so excited when they came home
from school to find their new sister had come home.  She's been great.  She has
playmates Eli, Ethan and Abby who kept her busy all weekend.  I don't think she knew
what to do with herself when Monday came and the kids went back to school.  She's
had a busy week.  Thank you.  We will send pictures soon.

Just wanted to let you know that she is doing wonderful.  She just wanted to sleep the
first day home but when we all got up Friday morning she had come upstairs and was
sleeping with Elijah.  It's been hard to keep her calm.  She just wants to play.  She's
been taking her medicine just fine and her incision looks good.  The kids are learning
that they have to put their toys up and shut their bedroom doors when they are not
playing in them.  Even though Summer has a basket of toys she finds the kids' toys
more appetizing.  Poor Woody the cowboy has a hole in the top of his head.  We have
been reading up on the chewing thing with puppies but any tips would be great.  We
have bones for her to chew on and soft toys too.  Our couch is also a favorite spot.
She usually does this right after everyone goes to bed and then after about an hour
she comes upstairs and finds somewhere to sleep.  Wednesday I am taking the film to
be developed so that I may post some pictures of Summer in her new home.
