Terrell was rescued along with 12 other puppies (we believe there were at least two different litters) from a kill shelter in Mt. Vernon IL on what would have been their last day..

We adopted Sammy from ya'll on July 8th, 2006 and I
can honestly say that he took right to us! I remember it
so well as soon as we brought him home, we took him
into the backyard to potty and as soon as his feet hit the
ground, he and our other dog, Charlie, started playing!
The playing has stopped since! He loves his basket full
of toys and big backyard to run in.
He's extremely smart, too. The entire time we've had
him he had an accident in the house maybe three times.
He knew exactly which door to go to and bark when he
wanted out. He's a stinker, though! Mr. Sammy thought
a wedding cake layer that was cooling on our kitchen
table looked yummy, so he had a taste... 1/4 of a taste!
Lets just say that he didn't mooch for "people food" the
rest of the day. I think he must of had a belly ache.
Sammy is growing like a weed. When we adopted him
he was 5lbs and is now a whopping 51lbs! We try to
weigh him once a week. He knows what the scale
means and runs (haha)! He just hates being picked up.
He's not too fond of going bye-bye or taking walks,
either. I think he would just much rather lay around and
chew on his toys!
I have included photos of "little" Sammy and "big lug"
Sammy for you!

Hey ladies, hope you had a great holiday season! This was baby's first Christmas and surprisingly he didn't
mess with the tree or gifts what-so-ever. Of course we had taken more pictures of the comedian Sammy and
his favorite chew toy, his little yet older brother, Charlie.
Hi again ladies! As soon as I sent my last e-mail to you, I found more photos! Notice in one of them my mother's giving him a kiss.. his eyes are NOT leaving that cheeto! Too funny!

Sammy had a play date with his brother Smokey who he had not seen since they were
adopted almost a year ago... They played like there had been no lapse in time...
Last Saturday was the BBQ with Mandy and Smokey. It was so much fun! They were here
about five or so hours and the boys got along like, well, brothers! A lot of the pictures didn't
turn out because they would always move when there was a good shot. There was,
however, this really cute picture I just HAD to send ya'll! You can definitely tell they're from
the same litter!
