Dear Jackie and Kim.

I just want you to know how very grateful I am for your help in  adopting Midas.  He is a loyal friend, a
most pleasant companion to me and  Little Bit, and a source of great joy for me and almost everyone
who meets  him.
Your services were very professional and I tell anyone who will listen  how great you are to deal with,
and that you still have very worthy dogs and cats to be adopted. I tell people how you hand delivered
antibiotics to my door when we realized Midas had a sinus infection shortly
after coming to live with me.   The care you provided at no cost to me for his heartworms saved his life
and was delivered by such kind and caring people at Formea.  It was a difficult time but I knew he was
in good hands.  He is so healthy and vigorous now.  He is the picture of a healthy and happy dog.
Thank you.
Helping me to place my sweet calico , Cashew, was a Godsend.  I never dreamt that you would put her
on your website without asking anything of me or her new family.  She is now happy in her new home
and my granddaughter can visit without fear of an asthma attack.  Thank you.
The work you do is such good work.  Your commitment to the care of our four legged friends may, to
some, seem beyond reason, but that’s because it comes straight from your very warm and loving
hearts.  I admire what you do and the people you are.
I wish you continued success and support in your efforts. If I can ever be of help to you, I hope you will
let me know.
Happy Holidays
Sincerely,
Christy O’Brien

Dear Hope Rescues -

One day not many weeks ago we decided to add a new family member.  So a friend/co-worker showed
me the Petfinder website.  After putting in my search terms, up popped several choices including one
from Hope Rescues.  However I had never heard of your organization so I quickly moved on to another
dog.  Then I started searching for rescues in my area, again Hope Rescues popped up.  Finally I gave
in and went to your website.  I'm glad I did, because within minutes I found Django (fka "Rascal").  I said
to my friend, "I found my dog, his name is Rascal." I hadn't even met him, but your website was so
friendly, and his eyes were so sweet I just knew I had found my dog.
I went home and told my husband.  "I found our dog."  I showed him your website.  He said, you'd better
call them, and see if they would let us come and see him tomorrow.  This was a Friday night.  So
Saturday morning I woke up and I called.  I reached Jackie.  She was so nice and we were so impressed
with the questions we were asked.  They were as concerned with making sure that the dog was a good
fit for our family as they were of having one of your dogs adopted. They asked a lot of questions, and
arrangements were made for us to go and visit the same day.
Immediately upon meeting Django we were convinced this was our dog.  But again Jackie and Kim
wanted to make sure that things would work with our current dog, Abner.  They suggested we have a
meet and greet.  So Monday my husband took our dog to meet Django.  Things did not go as well as we
hoped.  Abner just didn't have the socialization skills he needed.  But Jackie and Kim didn't give up.
They encouraged us to make arrangements for Abner to come for a day of doggy daycare at LaBest
where they would spend the day socializing Abner and encouraging Abner and Django to play together.
This went well.  But they still weren't 100% sold.  So they encouraged a second day, and then a few
trial days at home.  Which is what we did.
Fortunately Abner and Django have now become the best of buddies.  But had it not been for their care
and concern, and working with our current dog to make sure things would, this adoption could have
been an unfortunate experience.
We were so impressed that they were more concerned about making sure each dog was happy in its
new situation then just placing a dog.  They are more then a rescue organization,  they truly care and
love each and every animal that comes through their doors.
My friend/co-worker was so encouraged by our experience that soon they adopted a new puppy from
Hope Rescues. I will refer you guys again and again.

Dear Jackie and Kim,
You two are so dear to my heart, because you are the ones who saved my baby girl, Kylie.  I had been
thinking about getting a dog for some time and happened to stumble upon Kylie’s profile on Petfinder.
I quickly called you to learn everything I could about her.  We talked for long time and you told me how
sweet she was and that she was everyone’s favorite at LaBest.  As soon as we got off the phone with
each other I filled out the online application and sent it off.  I snuck out of work early that day (shhh!) to
come and meet all of you that evening.  She was so scared and unsure of our meeting.  However, you
were confident that this would work out, as she had a history of warming up to those who cared for
her.  You assured me that you’d be there for me and Kylie if we needed anything or had any questions
along the way.
I called you several times that first week and you were always calm and willing to talk me through the
challenges of a shy dog like Kylie.  Since that first week we’ve been sailing smoothly.  You have always
been there to listen or give advice when needed.  I think that is one of the keys to your rescue – you
care, so you follow up.
Your happy homes pages are one of favorite parts of your rescue.  You want to know how your
rescued pets are doing and see all of their adventures.  I feel honored every time you update Kylie’s
page because our pictures and anecdotes prove that a scared and shy dog can work through her
fears with perseverance and love.  She’s had so many adventures and traveled so many different
places with me in this past year because you believed in us.
Your doggie events throughout the year are also a favorite of mine.  Kylie likes them, too, because she
gets to go to yet another puppy party!  I must admit that I check your webpage on an almost excessive
basis and try to keep up with all the new rescues, as I feel that they are a part of our family, too.  Going
to the events is like a reunion with dogs that I’ve never actually met and some that I have had the
honor of meeting at one point or another.
The Hope Rescues family is growing every day and I am proud to be a member.
You do such a wonderful service to all the dogs (and cats) out there who need to
be saved. What a life changing experience that first day was!  I can’t and don’t
want to imagine life without my baby girl.  She is my one true love and I thank you
for saving her once upon a time so we could be together and have a storybook
ending.  All our love,
Melissa and Kylie Gladback

Jackie and Kim-
It was not until last year that I came into contact with Hope Rescues.    I was at LaBest and fell in love
with a little beagle!    Unfortunately, he had heartworms and was not ready to go home.  Both Jackie
and Kim  were supportive helpful, answering all of my questions (and convincing  my husband)!  He
has been the most affectionate and loving companion to us.
You don't just "adopt" a pet from Hope.  You become a part of their  family.  Just look at their website,
with all of the happy endings and the  anniversary parties. They help you, answer your questions and
make it  a priority to always be available.
Your dedication to the rescue is simply beyond comparison with any other organization, group or
individual.  Your actions have saved the lives  of so many animals, who would have otherwise fallen
victim to  society's solution for pet overpopulation, euthanasia.
One example of their dedication is "Sugar Ray"- Jackie and Kim were his  last hope.  You can read his
story to fully grasp their humanity and  kindness.  To simply say that they truly care does not even
begin to  explain them, they go beyond.
I would like to also mention Dr. Formea and his staff-They treated his  heartworms and neutered him.
They gave us personal attention and knew  him by name.
On behalf of our community, including the animals, I would like to  thank you for everything you do.
Angela Donohoo
We have worked with a number of rescues over the years and Hope Rescue is by far and
without question the very best.  We have both adopted animals from them and do foster
work for them and I can honestly say that any animal coming to their rescue is one luck
critter!  Jackie and Kim's tireless efforts in behalf of the animals is amazing. Every single
Hope Rescue dog or cat is treated with love, kindness and compassion and given the best
of care. The rescue is run with good old fashioned common sense and a lot of heart.
Potential adopters don't have to jump through a bunch of needless hoops to adopt an
animal but are judged primarily on the only basis that really counts-will they give the animal
a wonderful, loving, caring, forever home.  After coming in contact with Hope Rescue I
would definitely recommend going to them for your next pet.  Your experience will be
pleasant and they will do everything in their power to be sure you get the right animal for
your situation.
Hope Rescue is just awesome!
